Very easy to assemble and work. It's perfect for my needs and I couldn't have been happier with the performance. -- Just what I wanted.
I was totally amazed that after my on-line purchase the mower was at my address two days later as promised. Once out of the box it was a snap to attach the handle and it was ready to go. I did have to purchase a 13 Amp 100 ft. cord but I knew that I would need to before I made the purchase. I have used the mower 4 or 5 times so far and I really like it. It is a little quieter than a gas powered one. I don't have to breathe combustion fumes while I mow and I don't have to worry about restarting the mower if I need to stop it for some reason mid-mow. It is just a flip of a switch and you are off. You do have to think through your particular mowing pattern for your own yard because of the cord. And some might find that need for constant cord awareness annoying but if you follow the manuals suggestion for working from the plug outlet outward and no circlular mowing you will do just fine. I find it convenient to clean under the deck after mowing too. With no liquid gas or oil to worry about you can just tip it on it's side after unplugging and clean out any cutting material that might accummulate. Most times that is negligable. So.......at this point....I am really happy with my purchase and my buying on line experience! -- Great So Far
The Earthwise 50118 18-Inch 12 amp Electric Side Discharge/Mulching Lawn Mower is exactly what we were looking for. It is light in weight and yet very powerful and well made. I adjusted the wheels to the 4 inch high setting and decimated a quarter acre of two foot tall grass. It mulched the tall and still somewhat wet grass very well all things considered, but did an even better job on our normal lawn with the wheels adjusted at the lowest setting. I got this mower a year ago. Used it last and this season at least once a week. Still going strong. It's fairly quiet, looks better that Black and Decker, and does the job. If you looking for mower without fumes, changing oil, adding gas and checking spark plugs - this one is perfect. One minus is the cable. If that is not the deal breaker then you found your new lawnmower. It mulches everything , even leaves in fall. I recently purchased the Earthwise 50118 electric lawnmover. I must say it was very easy to assemble and very easy to operate. It's very quite and really like how easy it is to change the blade level. Having owned an electric one before I must say this is the best one I have owned todate.
