I purchased this mower yesterday and used it right out of the box. The cord does take some getting use to but overall it is not a problem. I mowed through some pretty thick grass and except for it slowing down a bit it cut every thing neat and clean.
I previously had a small reel mower it worked ok but it just does not cut the grass very well, prior to that I always had gas power mowers NEVER AGAIN!
I'd give this mower 5 stars but no mower is perfect, but the Earthwise 50018 comes pretty close. -- Good Mower
Works great. The flap does sometimes go back under the mower when you pull it backwards, but this hasn't been a major problem. I would recommend this to anyone that has a small area to mow but not for large lawns. -- Earthwise elec mower

I bought this mower at a local hardware chain store for $169.00. This middle-aged, non-mechanically inclined woman had it assembled and running in 5 minutes.
It cuts well and is lightweight easy to maneuver. There is a cord to deal with, but I knew that when I bought it and it isn't a big deal.
It's much quieter than a gas machine, and no messing around with gas and oil and spark plugs...and no toxic emissions.

I bought this mower as a replacement to Black & Decker Lawn Hog. I have owned two previous Black & Decker Electric mowers. Both were durable, and lasted several years. This mower does not disapoint. The 12amp motor has no troble even with tall overgrown grass. The blade runs very close to the edge of the deck. This is very nice, helps alignment. It mulchs well and ejects well. The one handle height adjustment works great. That would be a huge point for some one elderly, or with arthritis. I have had this mower for about 2 months now, and really feel it is built well. I will definetly see how long it will last. I mow a considerable area, for an electric mower. I use every foot of a 100' cord in the front and back yards. Considering that this was about $50-$75 lower then the name brands, shippe free, arrived in just about 3 days, and works great, I would definetly recommend this mower. -- Good Quality, Great Value
